Paul Harsley has explained his decision to move to Port Vale.

In an interview with the Macclesfield Express he admitted that it was too good an opportunity to turn down.

‘I was offered a deal at Macclesfield but it wasn’t what I wanted. It was a drop in wages which I didn’t want to do and maybe the fine the club recieved had been factored into that.’

‘But I’ve been given a chance to play in League One and I’m really looking forward to it.’

‘I’m sad to be leaving Macclesfield and really enjoyed my time there, especially when we were pushing for the play-offs.’

‘The manager has been really good to me and I’ve had some great times at the club. It’s a part of my career that I have really enjoyed. But moving to Port Vale is another challenge and I am delighted to be joining them.’

I’m sure he will green giant, but it’s at least good to see the lad being honest. Cannot fault him for wanting to improve himself.
