The season is finally here and The Silkmen start with a trip to Darlington.

The Silkmen will be looking for their first win at Darlington since 2003 when Steve Brackenridge scored the only goal of the game.

Darlington are thought by many to be amongst the favourites for promotion this season. They are certainly not afraid of splashing the cash after having significant bids for Carlisle’s Michael Bridges and Hartlepool’s Joel Porter turned down.

Key Men:

Barry Conlon is a former Silkmen target who was a regular scorer for the Quakers in his first spell with the club, scoring 42 in a three year period.

Gaetano Giallanza was once transferred to Nantes in France for £1.5 million, has experienced Premiership football at Norwich City and also spent a period of time at Bolton Wanderers under Colin Todd.

Getting There:

Leave the A1(m) at Junction 57 for Darlington. Follow road to roundabout. From here take the first exit off and follow road to second roundabout (Reg Vardy on right). Head straight over and follow signs for Teesside until you reach next roundabout. Turn left here and stadium is on right hand side.

How Much?:

Adults: £16.00
Student/Senior Citizen: £11.00
11 – 16 year olds: £7.00
7 – 10 year olds: £5.00
Under 7 years: FOC
