Coach Information

Just over 3000 fans have opted to travel by coach. This equates to a fleet of 68 coaches and a logistical challenge to say the least. However, we are confident that with your co-operation we can get the day off to a smooth start and have you all on the way down to London without any hiccups.

Here is the plan, as agreed with the Police and coach operators.

DEPARTURE POINT

Coaches will leave from the Lyme Green Business Park along Heather Close. This is approximately 2 minutes walk from Moss Rose with stewards on hand to direct you on the day.

WHAT TIME

We are asking you to arrive from 0815 to 0830, with the aim of departing shortly afterwards. Our hope is to have the last coach on the way shortly after 9am. Please try to arrive as early as possible.

CAR PARKING ~ IMPORTANT

Please do not park in the immediate business / retail park areas. Where possible please arrange to be dropped off or park in and around the Moss Rose and walk from there to the departure point. Coaches will be dropping off back at the ground upon your return so there is little benefit to be had from parking in the business park. We also do not want to upset the park’s residents who will be trading that day and rightly concerned about car parking space. Please ensure that when parking, your car is secure and that nothing is left on show. The sight of so many cars left unattended is sure to attract interest!

WHICH COACH

When booking your tickets you were all given a coach voucher. This clearly states which coach you have been allocated to travel on. Coaches will be clearly numbered and it is important that you take your seat on this coach. You must show your tickets to the driver who is under instructions only to allow those with a valid ticket onto their coaches. You will not be allowed to board a coach that you do not have a valid ticket for!

NO ALCOHOL / NO SMOKING

All coaches are non smoking and alcohol is not permitting on either the outward or return journeys. It is a criminal offence to consume alcohol on a coach travelling to a sporting event in the UK. Please respect this and the comfort of your other passengers.

JOURNEY TIME

Subject to any problems on the motorways, we are expecting to make the journey in around 4 hours. Most of the coaches will have toilet facilities and it is expected that all will make a stop at some point en route. We plan to have you at Stamford Bridge for no later than 1.30pm.

ARRIVING IN LONDON

With such a fleet of coaches, over twice what Chelsea would expect for a normal Premiership game, we will be dropping fans off at two points. Coaches 1 – 45 will head to Imperial Road which is about a 5 minute walk from Stamford Bridge. Coaches 46 – 68 will drop off on Fulham Broadway, about 2 minutes from the ground. When walking to the ground please ensure you make note of the route to ensure you do not get lost upon your return.

GETTING BACK TO THE COACH

As soon as the final whistle blows and you have saluted the boys, please make your way back to where you got off your coach. They will be waiting for you there and as before, please ensure you get on the right coach! The Police would like to have us on our way by 5.15pm latest.

GETTING BACK TO THE MOSS

Subject to a prompt departure we would hope to have you back around 9.45pm. Coaches will be dropping you off at the ground, and not at the Business Park.

It promises to be a fantastic day so let us make sure we get it off to a good start. Thanks in advance for your help and have a brilliant day out.
