Macclesfield Town took a share of the spoils from Burton as a side disrupted by late withdrawals put in a good performance.

Matthew Tipton and Lee Bell were both late absentees as the former was with his wife who was giving birth and the latter had a stomach bug.

Paul Bolland was also out injured.

The Silkmen could have scored early on when Wright ran onto a great through-ball, but saw his low shot saved.

But a similar move took the lead for the Silkmen as Emile Sinclair was the man running on to the ball, and scored at the second attempt.

The Silkmen pressed after the goal but couldn’t double their lead and the home side levelled.

Both sides had chances in the second half, with the best for the Silkmen coming from Nat Brown from a corner, but neither side could take the initiative.
