The Stoke Sentinel is reporting that Danny Whitaker is in talks with the Valiants. Bury are also in talks as well as one other League Two club.
Danny, who was the Silkmen’s player of the year last season, has already turned fown two contract offers from the Silkmen and the manager has expressed a desire to keep the player and wants to speak to him this week.
This would represent the second midfield swoop from Vale, who picked up Paul Harsley last month.
Meanwhile Chris Casper has stated on the Bury official website that Danny Whit has spoken to them about joining former Silkman Matty Tipton at the Shakers.
