Macclesfield Town sign former Newcastle ‘keeper Jonathan Brain from Port Vale.
The stopped began his career as a youth at Carlisle before moving to Newcastle United, but failed to make an appearance for the MAgpies.
He moved on to Port Vale and was first choice for two years playing 59 League One games.
Last season, however he found himself down the pecking order at Vale Park and so moves in the opposite direction to Paul Harsley.
