The Silkmen face two games in three days at the start of the season.

Leicester City – Wednesday 12 August 2009

Kick – off 7.45pm

The new season is now just a matter of days away and with the excitement building, our first competitive home game sees Championship side Leicester City head to the Moss Rose to battle it out in the 1st Round of the Carling Cup.

With the Foxes having enjoyed promotion last season, their confidence will be high, and with a healthy following expected it promises to be an exciting game.

And as ever we will be offering our increasingly popular match night hospitality package. And to mark the start of the season we have decided to theme it around a Curry Night.

Top chef Salim from the Sangam Indian restaurant will be accompanied by his team of chefs to the McIlroy Suite and serve up a sumptuous three course feast.

So why not avoid the rush home from work and head straight to the Moss Rose instead, relax and enjoy the hospitality on offer in the McIlroy Suite?

Notts County – Saturday 15 August 2009

Kick – off 3.00pm

After this the Silkmen face Notts County who now number former England and Manchester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson amongst their backroom staff. The Moss Rose will be his first away League game and the game is likely to attract a great deal of media attention.
