The Silkmen put in a much improved performance against a mixed Bolton side at the Moss Rose. Shaun Hessey hitting the winner.
Although a predominantly young side, the visitors included veteran goalkeeper Ian Walker, Blerim Dzemaili, who has over 100 games for FC Zurich under his belt, Ricardo Vaz Te, and several others with top flight experience.
Although it wasn’t the most thrilling of games, the best moment came from the Silkmen, and in particular, Shaun Hessey, who scored a stunning 20 yard drive.
But another good workout for the team and a clean sheet which must have been a confidence boost.
