Richard Butcher will have a precautionary scan this week as he continues his rehabilitation from a ligament injury. Although the former Notts County, Peterborough United and Lincoln (x 3) midfielder is back training, his movement could be better according to sources.
It could be something or nothing, but better to be safe than sorry with a long season ahead. Butcher, a naturally fit lad, is otherwise fine and desperate to repay Simmo`s faith. He and his wife have settled in the area and are planning to stick around with Richard contracted at least until June 2012 following a payoff from Lincoln.
