Manchester City central defender Javan Vidal could well be spending some time at the Silkmen after successful loans at Grimsby, Derby County and SPL giants Aberdeen.

This according to sources at Saturdays game. Said blues youth guru Jim Cassell

‘Jav reminds me of Earl Barrett in many ways – he’s a rubber man who bounces all over the place with great athleticism. He’s played for England under 19s this year and, like the rest of the lads, he will benefit immensely from playing alongside senior players’

After his 5 match spell on loan at the Mariners in September 2008, Javan went as far north as you can get to Aberdeen deal in January 2009. During the 6 month loan he scored his only first class goal thus far in the 5-0 SFA cup thumping of East Fife on 18th February.

Vidal then returned to the blues until Derby County loaned him in last seasons winter transfer window. Joining on 1st Feb 2010 he had a frustrating time making just one appearance, as a late substitute against Newcastle before City activated a recall clause.

Javan made his debut for City in the carling cup tie against WBA as a 55th minute substitute
