Stevenage 2-2 Macclesfield

Macclesfield kicked off the npower league two season with a draw against new boys Stevenage.

It was Stevenage, promoted into league two last season, that took an early lead through Vincenti (7) although Brown (12) soon levelled for the visitors.

Macclesfield took the lead when Barnett (53) scored and an away win looked on, although this win was denied when Griffin (89) scored a last minute equaliser to ensure the points were shared in the 2-2 draw.
