The Silkmen’s final Saturday friendly saw Terry Dunfield and Jamie Tolley scoring the goals in a 2-0 win.

Terry put away a penalty in the second half and Jamie Tolley hit the second two minutes later.

Silkmen boss Keith Alexander said:

‘It was a useful run out and one that I was pleased with. I thought we looked comfortable on the ball and we stronger at the back and from that aspect it was good to watch,’

‘Pre-season is all about getting your fitness up to scratch and working on formations and style of play. I’ve learnt a lot in the last few weeks and confident that we will be as prepared as we can be when we head off to Shrewsbury next week.’

Line Up: Brain, Reid (Millar), Flynn, Brisley, Jennings, Evans (Dunfield), Hadfield (Green), Bell (Harvey), Tolley (Rooney), Gritton (capt) (Thomas), Dennis (Yeo)
