On the day Crawley go for ex Arsenal star Robert Pirez, here is a heart warming story from Lincoln Moorlands involving crazy Gang guru Gary Simpson. It was certainly an ex Lincoln manager affair down at Lincoln Moorlands Railway last night with Simmo getting the chance to touch base with Lincoln old boys Colin Murphy and John Schofield, who saw his son play the last 20 minutes.

But to the story fellow footy fans to the story??..

Gary Simpson, lives and loves football 24-7, so when his mate Doug Shelley the Parkway manager told him that his number two could not make the game yesterday, he offered to help. He drove from Sheffield to Lincoln at breakneck speed to do the warm up and inspired a 2-1 win with some Simmo says words of wisdom.

Simmo got his just rewards for putting something back as Ashley Worsfold and William Senior gave Parkgate a valuable 2-1 away win. This, after a famous Maccs comeback at the weekend, when they came from two down against Oxford.

Great gesture Gary, Vital Maccs salutes you.
