The Silkmen have appointed Gary Simpson as permanent manager of Macclesfield Town.

Gary took over in the hotseat after the untimely death of Keith Alexander, but has seen his side picking up 18 points in 10 matches.

To do this in the middle of a crippling injury crisis that has seen up to eight senior players injured for most of the last two months, is an incredible achievement.
