Silkmen to face Middlesbrough

Macclesfield Town have added Boro to the pre-season schedule for the 2009/10 season.

This will be the firs time the two sides have met since the League Cup tie in 2000 which saw the North East side winning 2-1 at home, but only late on after Ritchie Barker had famously put the Silkmen ahead.

They then won the home leg 3-1 to end te cup dream for that season.

Boro were relegated from the Premier League last season but are cetain to be amongst the top clubs in the Championship, and looking for promotion.
