Silkmen Sign Jacobs

Macclesfield Town have signed young Mansfield midfielder Kyle Jacobs.

Kyle came through the ranks at Mansfield last season and made five League appearances (including one as sub) and played one game in the LDV Vans Trophy but was released in the summer.

Amongst the games in which he featured was the Stags 1-1 draw with the Silkmen at Field Mill.

The Silkmen featured a player by the name of Jacobs in a trial game at Buxton in pre-season. Although nothing was known about the player at the time, it seems he has now signed for the club. He featured in that game at right-back, which is the position he played for Mansfield in his games last season although he is also capable of playing wide on the right.
