Silkmen face Boston

Macclesfield Town are expecting to send a young side to York Street for this evening’s pre-season friendly.

Keith Alexander told the club’s official website that it would be mainly younger players but with Tipton and Wilson alongside a handful of other senior players.

A lack of goals has been a problem for the Silkmen this pre-season and a win with either of the two senior strikers hitting the back of the net would be a confidence boost.

The Silkmen also face Northwich Victoria on Friday night with what is expected to be a full first team.
