The club today announced plans for its season tickets for the 2009/10 season. The highlights include a freezing of prices, continued free admission for all under 12 fans and the introduction of an added value package of benefits worth in excess of £200.

Commenting on the launch club chairman Mike Rance commented to www.mtfc.co.uk

‘There’s no way to disguise the fact that this has been a difficult season for the Silkmen. Excellent performances against two Premiership sides in the Cups and some notable victories against some of the better teams in League 2 have been offset by indifferent form, especially at home, to leave us some way short of where most at the club expected us to be as we approached the end of the current campaign.

‘I believe there are genuine grounds for optimism for the future. In the current difficult economic climate many clubs in the Football League have been living beyond their means and now find themselves in serious financial difficulty. It’s just possible that one or two might face liquidation. Macclesfield Town is not amongst them. Our plans for next season are well advanced. Our current youthful squad will improve and grow as it gains experience. We know the pieces of the jigsaw that are missing and we intend to add to the mix by bringing some experienced players. Macclesfield Town might not be the most glamorous in the League but is certainly one of the most stable. We plan to use that stability as a platform for success.’

‘With that in mind we would really like our fans to keep the faith and pledge their support for the club through the purchase of a season ticket for the 2009/10 campaign. We’ve frozen prices this year for both adults and concessions in all areas of the ground and children under 12 will continue to be able to watch home games for free.’

‘Our Early Bird Season ticket offer is to be launched on Friday April 17th. It offers some great value, not only through the built-in discount for home games but through a comprehensive package of offers that together give season ticket purchasers the opportunity to save over £200.’
