Russell Deal Falls Through

The Silkmen were reportedly set to sign Darlington ‘keeper Sam Russell this week, but the deal has been scuppered by Paul Ince.

The Silkmen had agreed terms with the player, but he has been persuaded to join Ince at MK Dons for training with a view to a permanent deal.

The Silkmen were also rumoured to have agreed a deal to bring Walsall’s MArk Wright to the Moss Rose but the player also turned up at pre-season training with MK Dons.

Alan Navarro is also expected to join his former manager with another Ince raid on the Moss Rose expected soon.
