Parkin Going Nowhere…Yet!

Highly rated Macc striker Jon Parkin (24)is going nowhere
according to the club’s chairman. Macclesfield have confirmed that they have recieved enquires for Parkin and turned down two offers from Chester(£50,000) and Lincoln, said to be six figures plus players, but chairman Robert Bickerton seems keen to hold on to the beefy hit-man.

He told the club’s website, ‘We have not invited bids for Jon and indeed hope he stays at Macc well beyond the summer.’

With the club in financial trouble and struggling to attract more than 2000, Parkin may well move on before the end of the transfer window, with clubs from different divisions considering a move for the forward.

The chairman added, ‘But it is only fair to all parties that serious offers which meet Jon’s career ambitions and our significant valuation of him should recieve due consideration.’

How many goals did he score? Strikers are hard to keep hold of in the smaller clubs if they are any good. The most difficult psotion to fill also as there is a lot of competiion. So hang on to him if you can.
