Macclesfield Town picked up a good away point at Morecambe’s Christie Park, but could easily have had all three as the home side twice had to come from behind.

The Silkmen took the lead from the spot as Colin Daniel was hacked down, and there was no complaints from the home players when the ref indicated the penalty. Tippy made no mistake.

The Silkmen should have extended their lead with good long-range efforts from Daniel and Draper forcing good saves before Bolland hit the ball narrowly wide.

But the score remained at 1-0 at half time and the Silkmen had been pegged back just four minutes into the second half. Michael Twiss finding the net with a neat curled finish.

10 minutes later the Silkmen were back ahead with a nice volley from Draper from Ben Wright’s knock down.

But Artell levelled the scores with just nine minutes left heading home witha suspicion of a foul on Jon Brain.

Unfortunately for the Silkmen, the ref spotted a push at the other end as Hamza beat Danny Adams in the air and nodded across goal for Ben Wright to nod into the back of the net.

The Silkmen striker is desperately unlucky to have not found his name on the scoresheet yet this season, but the game finished 2-2.
