Macclesfield Town’s last home game of the season sees them take on Barnet at the Moss Rose this afternoon. The Silkmen, who secured their League status last weekend thanks to a bournemouth win at Chester City will still be wanting to win today’s game to go out on a high. A victory for the Silkmen would also mean a definate finish above either Grimsby or Rotheham.
The Silkmen have something of an injury crisis, particularly in defence. Shaun Hessey has undergone a hernia operation, whilst Richard Walker and Paul Morgan also miss out. At the other end of the pitch Simon Yeo is also out with an injury.
The Silkmen could see a few new faces in the squad with some of the youngsters such as Vinny Mukendi and Matt Lowe potentially facing first-team call-ups.
The visitors are also safe in mid-table after a great recent run of form which saw caretaker manager Ian Hendon given the job full time. They will be looking for revenge after the Silkmen’s 3-1 victory at Barnet earlier in the season.
