The Silkmen threw away a two goal lead at the Moss Rose after a Matty Tipton brace had given them a comfortable lead.

Matty Tipton opened the scoring after 29 minutes. Dave Morley`s header across goal came down off the bar and Tippy reacted first to poke home.

And he doubled the lead seven minutes into the second half with a low strike across goal and in to the far corner.

He was looking for his hat-trick and saw two shots fly just wide when he pulled up with injury and had to be replaced.

It was like Tipton of old and we can only hope his injury isn`t too serious.

The visitors started to push their way back into the game and Danny Swailes was unfortunate to see his attempted block screw into the back of the net, before Leo Fortune West completed the comeback by turning his marker and shooting home at the far post.

But as is often the case, the star of the show was Uriah Rennie who correctly assumed that almost 3,000 people had turned out to watch him but showing no fewer than nine yellow cards, eight of which to the Silkmen.
