The Silkmen were held to a 1-1 draw at the Moss Rose by Aldershot despite dominating the chances.

The Blues had the best of the game and restricted the visitors to few opportunities. But the Silkmen couldn`t capitalise on their own chances, starting with a penalty.

Emile Sinclair was the man dragged down in the box before John Rooney stepped up, but for the second time in two games the visiting ‘keeper guessed right to make a good save.

But the Silkmen did eventually take the lead after a great move which ended when Emile Sinclair backheeled into the path of Brown who rifled home.

The chances kept coming as Emile Sinclair and Ben Wright both found themselves clean through only to be denied by the ‘keeper.

In the second half it was much the same as Wright again got in on goal but saw his low shot saved. Sinclair then went one better, beating the ‘keeper only to see the ball come back off the post.

As is often the case, the missed chances cost the Silkmen and the visitors were given their own penalty, and this time the taker made no mistake.

Macc had a great chance to win the game late on when Vinny Mukendi raced clear but his chip over the advancing ‘stopper drifted over the bar.
