The Silkmen held on to earn a 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the Moss. Carl Regan hit for the Silkmen before jon Parkin equalised.

Both goals came in the first half, with the Silkmen looking promising going forward.

Macc’s goal came from Carl Regan but the hard work was from the pace of Danny Thomas. Francis Green played a great ball in front ot Thomas who raced to the by-line and crossed low into the area. The ball passed most of the people in the box, before Regan connected to slam home.

Macc’s pace continued to cause problems for Stoke, but they eventually equalised through a quality Jon Parkin header.

The second half saw several subs for the Silkmen with a young team finishing the game. But even this young side were able to keep Parkin and Sidibe off the scoresheet.
