Jose has plied his trade in Portugal and Spain before turning up at Tamworth and Hereford United. He is testament to those nights when sodden footed Simmo and Keith have uncovered priceless gem after pricelss gem. Gary not surprisingly had no doubts this year in making the former Levanti and Cape Verde keeper his undisputed number one.

Last nights five fine saves earned Jose his first clean sheet bonus of the season. He has certainly worked hard for it with 34 saves in his first 6 games.

Well played Jose and fear not – there’s plenty more shots where that lot came from Your guaranteed a great chance to make a name for yourself at The Moss Rose.

An apt and perhaps veritable home from home for a lad from the very green sounding Cape Verde
