Macclesfield Town’s trip to Hereford will go ahead as planned this weekend after Keith’s family and the players decided that it is what the manager would have wanted to happen.
After yesterday’s tragic news of the untimely death of Keith Alexander, many thought the match might be postponed – but the players are determined to go out and play in the memory of the man who had earned so much respect throughout the world of football.

Good on you guys for playing it. In life I have never been a fan of “it’s what he would have wanted,” but having refused to NOT play a game a day after a close family member of mine died, I understand the sentiment. I just hope you lot get the result in honour of a great footballing man.
