It’s a very tough start to the season for the Silkmen who face last season’s promotion contenders Darlington, Peterborough, Wycombe and Grimsby as well as relegated MK Dons and Hartlepool in their opening six games.

The Silkmen will begin the season with an away trip to Darlington, the third time in as many years that the club have been on their travels on the first day of the campaign.

Darlo`s north-east rivals, Hartlepool will be the first opposition at the Moss Rose with MK Dons following them to the Moss for their first ever game against the Silkmen.

The final game of the campaign will be at home to Notts County and the first ever trip to Accrington will be the final away game.

Other games of interest are the derby matches with Stockport County which take place on 25th November and April 14th.

Boxing day sees a short hop to Chester City whilst New Years Day is a home tie with Lincoln.

But between these two games sits a trip to Torquay on December 30th. With no other game in that spell, the Christmas period is less congested than in recent years.
The full fixture list can be found on the club’s official website.
