The Silkmen were beaten 3-1 at Dagenham and Redbridge as the run of matches against top sides continued.

Despite taking the lead and holding it until half time, the Silkmen`s patched up defence couldn`t cope with Dagenham`s attack in the second half.

But the Blues could have been more than a goal ahead after Lee Bell had taken the lead with an excellent volley from well outside the area that caught the home ‘keeper off guard.

There were chances after this as Emile Sinclair`s mazy run set up Craig Lindfield but he couldn`t take the opportunity.

The home side fought back though and close range goals from Green and Ogogo turned the tie on its head before Green`s second, three minutes from time, sealed the points.

It doesn’t get any easier for the Silkmen midweek as they face Rotherham at the Don Valley Stadium.
