Franny Green hit the only goal of the game as the Silkmen beat Bradford Park Avenue 1-0 in this pre-season friendly.

Franny’s goal came in the 20th minute as he picked up a pinpoint pass from Terry Dunfield to curl a trademark shot into the top corner.

As with the previous match at Congleton, the Silkmen created chances but couldn’t put the ball away.

Dunfield forced a good save in the first half and second half arrival Simon Yeo crashed the ball onto the cross bar after a nice pass from Jordan Hadfield.

But it was another good workout for the side who were on for 60 minutes before the substitutions, and with several players making a full 90 minute appearance.

  • I think under Keith you will see a few of those kind of scores this season with Franny or Yeo nicking the winner.

  • sets you up for the big one tonight…hope you give them and Incy a run for their money so to speak………
