The Moss Rose is ready and waiting for its first Gig as Blues at the Blues kicks off at 1.00pm on the 12th July.

The event, which features local talent The Virginmarys, Sinnerboy, Jim Kirkpatrick, Cactus Moon and George Borowski as well as headline act Aynsley Lister has been in the planning stages all summer and is ready to go.

Macclesfield Town chairman Mike Rance said: “We`ve put a lot of effort into this event. From going through all the health and safety regulations to ordering the beer, it`s been hard work to make sure that we have ticked every box. But we`re confident that we are going to witness a great event here at the Moss this Saturday.”

Tickets for the event will be available on the day with prices starting at just £15 for the nine and a half hour music festival, and £25 for the premium ‘Ronnie`s at the Moss` tickets which will see Ronnie`s Bar in Macclesfield extending their high quality cocktail service to the Moss Rose, as well as being open as usual in Duke`s Court throughout the day.

But tickets are limited and the club is advising people to turn up early to avoid disappointment.”

“We`re setting up for a full day of fun” added Mike. “Excellent music, good food cooked on charcoal grills, real ale provided by Storm, our local micro-brewery and Ronnie`s cocktails in the McIlroy Suite. I`m hoping for a great festival atmosphere at the Moss on Saturday.”
