A second 2-1 away win in a week left the Silkmen one match from safety.

After dispatching Bradford City 2-1 on Easter Monday the Silkmen travelled to Barnet at Underhill.

And Emile Sinclair scored his second in two games to open the scoring.

It was after a dull first half where end of season complacency and the heat of the sun seemed to slow the game down.

But the second half saw more action, starting with Emile Sinclair’s opener. The player, who has taken some abuse this season, picked up a ball from John Rooney and teed himself up to fire a fantastic shot in from the edge of the area.

Lee Bell doubled the score and looked to have given the Silkmen an unassailable lead with time running out as he charged down a poor clearance from the home ‘keeper and slotted the ball into the open goal.

But Upson didn’t give the Silkmen any chance to relax with a fantastic volley of his own to give Brain no chance as the game evtered injury time.

But the Silkmen managed to hold out for the final four minutes for another excellent win.
